Duke Yusif ibn-Claeburne al-Caithness, of the Duchy of CarrIck (42)
Like so many Caithnessians, Duke Yusif is a moderate in most things. He is Duke of CarrIck, a moderately important fief within the Domain of Caithness, and has left the management of his lands in the hands of his family. Duke Yusif is a faithful member of the UCY, and hopes to spread it to Aestas, but he is also hoping to increase the power and prestige of Caithness. Considered to be loyal to the empire, Duke Yusif is competent and dependable, and has some experience commanding domainal forces in battle against his neighbors. Charismatic and likeable but not inspiring, Duke Yusif is best known for his equestrian skills; his domain is an old horse-breeding area, and he personally is one of Yrth's greatest riders. He is a tall, lanky man with tanned skin and short brown hair, who usually wears a tan khaki uniform.
